چکیده

Abstract. A novel approach for free vibration analysis of train body structures is introduced by using the Carrera Unified Formulation (CUF) and Dynamic Stiffness Method (DSM). Higher-order kinematic fields are developed Formulation, which allows straightforward implementation any-order theory without need ad hoc formulations, in case beam theories. In particular, parallel axis theorem on basis Taylor expansion cross-sectional displacement variables, unifies different shape subsections into same coordinate system. The Principle Virtual Displacements used to derive governing differential equations associated natural boundary conditions. An exact dynamic stiffness matrix then relating amplitudes harmonically varying loads those responses. Finally, Wittrick–Williams (WW) algorithm was carry out frequencies corresponding modal shapes presented.

Dynamic Stiffness Method for Free Vibration of Moderately Thick Functionally Graded Plates

In this study, a dynamic stiffness method for free vibration analysis of moderately thick function-ally graded material plates is developed. The elasticity modulus and mass density of the plate are assumed to vary according to a power-law distribution in terms of the volume fractions of the constituents whereas Poisson’s ratio is constant. Due to the variation of the elastic properties through ...

Coupled Bending-Longitudinal Vibration of Three Layer Sandwich Beam using Exact Dynamic Stiffness Matrix

A Newtonian (vectorial) approach is used to develop the governing differential equations of motion for a three layer sandwich beam in which the uniform distribution of mass and stiffness is dealt with exactly. The model allows for each layer of material to be of unequal thickness and the effects of coupled bending and longitudinal motion are accounted for. This results in an eighth order ordina...

Exact solutions for wave-like equations by differential transform method

Differential transform method has been applied to solve many functional equations so far. In this article, we have used this method to solve wave-like equations. Differential transform method is capable of reducing the size of computational work. Exact solutions can also be achieved by the known forms of the series solutions. Some examples are prepared to show theefficiency and simplicity of th...

Mixed finite element formulation enriched by Adomian method for vibration analysis of horizontally curved beams

Abstract: The vibration analysis of horizontally curved beams is generally led to higher order shape functions using direct finite element method, resulting in more time-consuming computation process. In this paper, the weak-form mixed finite element method was used to reduce the order of shape functions. The shape functions were first considered linear which did not provide adequate accuracy....
